First temporary layouts and modifications in preparation for site launch

From March 17, 2025, a first phase of work will be carried out to prepare for the opening of the JD7 site. These works, carried out by Viteos, will enable the installation of the site’s essential energy infrastructures, including district heating (CAD), electricity, district cooling (FAD) and temporary public lighting.

As usual, Viteos will inform residents affected by any water or electricity cuts in good time by post.

Temporary facilities and impact on traffic

To ensure that the work goes smoothly, several adaptations will be made in the area:

Pedestrian access

• The staircase to the north of rue Jaquet-Droz will be closed from March 17, and will remain inaccessible until the works are completed.
• Safe pedestrian access will be provided and maintained along Rue Jaquet-Droz throughout the works.

Parking & traffic

• Temporary removal of blue spaces north of Rue Jaquet-Droz, from March 31 to May 30, 2025.
• Traffic modification: a one-way downhill system will be introduced between Jaquet-Droz Nord and Marie de Neumourg during the same period(March 31 – May 30, 2025).

The official launch of the JD7 project is scheduled for June 30, 2025.
